The City Rescue Mission has a Christmas Wish list at Target this year. The list consist of toys, games, bedding, clothing, and other misc. items that would make good christmas presents for those less fortunate this year. They are hoping to set up an area where parents can come and "shop" for gifts to give their children.

Saturday, November 7th 12pm - 2pm @ the Yukon Czech Hall, there will be a fundraiser held to benefit local boy, Ty Astle. This young man was recently diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia which is a rare blood disorder where the bone marrow stops producing enough new blood cells. As a result of this disorder, his immune system has been greatly affected causing him to limit his social interactions and is being home tutored for the remaining school year. He is in for a long battle that will most likely involve weekly hospital visits, chemotherapy, and a bone marrow transplant.
