Look what I just found ~ Stillwater has it's own coupon booklet w/internet printable coupons available. The website is "Stillwater OK Coupons". I see coupons for Avon, Dry Cleaning, Bus. Cards, Restaurants, Handymen and quite a few others.
I don't live close enough for these to be of use to me, but my folks do. I think I'll see if they want me to print any off for them.

This is a little odd - Oklahoma City Schools will be closed Thursday and Friday because of the weather. KOCO.com is reporting that the OKC School Superintendent is citing dangerously cold temps. as the reason for this decision. Apparently he is worried about the kids walking to school in such cold weather.
The City Rescue Mission has a Christmas Wish list at Target this year. The list consist of toys, games, bedding, clothing, and other misc. items that would make good christmas presents for those less fortunate this year. They are hoping to set up an area where parents can come and "shop" for gifts to give their children.

Starting November 29th, Oklahoma River Cruises will be offering a free introductory Oklahoma River Holiday Cruise every Sunday from 1 - 6 PM. The cruise is free to all ages and can be enjoyed from an open-air deck or the cozy heated cabin. more info

Metro Family Magazine is giving away two family four-packs of tickets to see A Very Merry Pops. We went to this concert last year and it was awesome. The whole family enjoyed it. Saturday, November 7th 12pm - 2pm @ the Yukon Czech Hall, there will be a fundraiser held to benefit local boy, Ty Astle. This young man was recently diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia which is a rare blood disorder where the bone marrow stops producing enough new blood cells. As a result of this disorder, his immune system has been greatly affected causing him to limit his social interactions and is being home tutored for the remaining school year. He is in for a long battle that will most likely involve weekly hospital visits, chemotherapy, and a bone marrow transplant.
